Dead To Me is a Netflix original series that was released in May of 2019 and has a total of two seasons. There is currently a third and final season on the way that will wrap up the show. The series is a comedy with a dark and mysterious side.

In season 1, one of the main characters, Jen, recently had her husband die in a hit and run car accident. Ever since the murder she has been determined to solve the crime and find the person responsible for his death. Later on at a support group meeting, Jen meets a woman named Judy who has gone through some trauma of her own and will later become her best friend. Although you may not suspect it, Judy was the driver that killed Jen’s husband. She does her best to spend time with Jen and get on her good side.

I really enjoyed watching season 1 of this show because of how unexpected it was. I liked how the writers made everything into a comedy. It helped to make the suspense less intense and we were able to connect with the characters on a personal level. Almost every episode of this show ends with a really good cliffhanger, so it makes you want to keep going back for more. The season ends with Jen killing Judy’s ex boyfriend , Steve, in her backyard while they are arguing. This means that Judy and Jen are on the same page and have both committed similar crimes in each others lives.

In season 2, Jen and Judy continue to build their relationship and friendship. They start doing everything together and their personalities are very compatible. During this season, the two have to work together to hide what Jen has done to Steve. They hide his body and make up every lie that they can so that no one is suspicious of hid death. Judy also confesses what she has done to Judy’s husband and tries to explain the details. As the show carries on, we continue to learn more and more about the bestfriends and their plans to hide the truth.

I liked season 2 a lot because it was a great add on to the first season and we were able to watch the story progress and continue to grow. Judy and Jen had a much better connection in this season because they had similar trauma and experiences that connected them. The comedy in the show made it enjoyable and fun to watch each episode.

Overall, I feel like Dead To Me is a great show to watch if you want something that is funny and fast paced, but also deep and mysterious. The show is definitely aimed towards mature watchers due to the language and graphic content. I can’t wait for the third season to come out and finish off the story.
